Settlement charter of Agramunt

Ermengol IV of Urgell took Agramunt in 1070 and the villa received a charter of settlement in 1163, with franchises that attracted settlers to this frontier stronghold on the Sió. The document fixed the regime of the villa throughout the Middle Ages.
