Sant Ramon Main Festival Activity · Sant Ramon, Segarra, Lleida Image of Sant Ramon, not of the place itself. The Festa Major de Sant Ramon is held at the end of August (28-31 August in 2025) in honour of Sant Ramon Nonat, patron of the traginers' (muleteers') guild, around the Sanctuary of Sant Ramon Nonat, a former Mercedarian convent from 1675 renovated in 1798, known as “the Escorial of the Segarra” for its quadrangular layout. On the saint's day, the last day of August, the festival dels Tres Tombs is held: the traginers make three circuits around the convent, now with tractors instead of carts; inside the baroque church, worshippers also make three circuits around the saint's mausoleum, in a chapel of the transept. The interior holds a neo-baroque altarpiece from 1947, which replaced the original one by Pere Costa i Cases, destroyed during the Civil War. 28-31 d'agost Photo: Isidre blanc (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Sant Ramon
