Tower of defensa d'Alt Àneu

The only castle or defense tower listed in the municipality of Alt Àneu is the Torre de defensa de Son del Pi, from the 14th century, in good condition, which functioned as a "comunidor" from which storms were conjured away; it forms part, together with the neighboring 11th-12th-century Lombard Romanesque church of Son, of one of the emblematic Romanesque complexes of the Vall d'Àneu, today integrated into the Ecomuseu de les Valls d'Àneu.
