Castle of vernacular construction atop the small hill on which the walled town of Vilamitjana sits, to the north and practically above the church of Santa Maria; today in very advanced ruin, with barely a wall stretch of about 2 m and a doorway with wall fragments, without absolute certainty that they correspond to the castle. A Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's top heritage-protection category) (RI-51-0006528), in the former municipality of Vilamitjana, today part of Tremp.
