Church of Sant Vicenç d'Àger Monument · Àger, Noguera, Lleida An 11th-century single-nave Romanesque church documented since 1041, to which was joined as a north nave the old temple of Sant Salvador - consecrated in 1048 and documented since then -, both donated by Arnau Mir de Tost to the canonry of Sant Pere. The two churches maintained independent forms of worship until the 14th century, when they merged into the present-day parish of Àger. The 13th-century bell tower, with stonemasons' marks placing it at the end of the Romanesque period or the start of the Gothic, is attached to the central nave; the apse was later finished in Gothic style, with windows of openwork tracery. In the 18th century a third, neoclassical nave was added, with a dome and connected to the central one by three round arches. The complex thus combines Romanesque, Gothic and neoclassical elements.
