The Prettiest Village, Taüll Curiosity · la Vall de Boí, Alta Ribagorça, Lleida Image of la Vall de Boí, not of the place itself. Taüll, at 1,510 meters above sea level, is the highest hamlet in the Vall de Boí and has been named one of the most beautiful villages in Catalonia. In its territory stand the Romanesque churches of Sant Climent and Santa Maria de Taüll, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000 along with the rest of the Romanesque churches in the valley; it also preserves the hermitage of Sant Quirc and remains of the old church of Sant Martí. With just 291 inhabitants in 2025, its economy now revolves around tourism, supported by the Boí-Taüll ski resort, although it retains some traditional livestock activity.
