Descent of the Barruera fire falles (la Vall de Boí, Alta Ribagorça), within the cycle of summer solstice fire festivals of the Pyrenees. On the weekend following the Sant Joan bonfires in Boí, young men bring large burning logs down from the heights to the village square, where they end up in a bonfire accompanied by traditional dances and celebrations. This tradition, shared by the Pyrenean towns of the area, was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO on 1 December 2015.
