Church of Sant Feliu de Barruera Monument · la Vall de Boí, Alta Ribagorça, Lleida The church of Sant Feliu de Barruera is the Romanesque parish church of the village of Barruera, in the municipality of la Vall de Boí, situated east of the settlement, outside the historic area, and forms part of the group of Romanesque churches of la Vall de Boí declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. It has been documented since the 11th century in deeds of the monastery of Lavaix, and throughout the Middle Ages and the early modern period it appears linked to the valley's own system of co-rectors, priests born there among whom the income of the parish benefice was shared. The building was erected between the 11th and 13th centuries; in the 1970s, restoration work freed the chevet of later additions, altered the roofs and consolidated the bell tower.
