Museum of les Trementinaires

Monument · Josa i Tuixén, Alt Urgell, Lleida

Opened in Tuixent in 1998, it recalls the women of the vall de la Vansa who gathered medicinal herbs and essences and sold them on foot through towns and farmsteads. The trade was practised from the nineteenth century and Sofia Montaner made the last journey in 1984.
