Can Traver Monument · Porqueres, Pla de l'Estany, Girona Image of Porqueres, not of the place itself. L-shaped farmhouse linked to the Traver family, documented since the 13th century, with a taller central block that was once a defensive tower between the two noble wings; the main doorway bears the family's carved coat of arms. Declared a Bien Cultural de Interés Nacional (Catalonia's highest level of heritage protection). The present complex, with round-arched doorways and Gothic windows with ogee arches and tracery, was built in three closely spaced stages between the late 16th century and the early 17th. A member of the family, Joan Traver, defended the Força of Girona during the siege of 1462, and in 1481 King Ferdinand the Catholic granted him a noble title; the lineage also produced four canons of the Seu de Girona.
