The Viladrau chestnut

The chestnut gathered in the chestnut groves of the Montseny, at around 900 m, is the product most identified with the municipality: dark and glossy in colour, sweet and easy to cook. From it are obtained flour, flakes, bread and ice cream, besides the roasted chestnuts of the season.
