Cadiretes Peak

Mountain of 518.7 metres located between the municipalities of Llagostera, in the Gironès, and Tossa de Mar, in la Selva, on whose summit there is a geodetic vertex. It is included in the list of the 100 cims of the Federació d'Entitats Excursionistes de Catalunya. Inside the massif, next to the geodetic vertex and a short distance from a forest watchtower, a medieval site is preserved, formed by several dry-stone walls delimiting quadrangular enclosures, resting on the granite blocks that emerge from the subsoil. No circulation spaces or buildings such as churches or walls have been found, which is why it is interpreted as a small settlement that took advantage of the hill's natural defences.
