The Miqveh of Besalú

Medieval Jewish ritual bath (mikveh), one of the few preserved in all of Europe, a testimony to the historic Jewish community of Besalú. From the Romanesque period, it is located by the river, right in the old call jueu (Jewish quarter) of the town, the neighbourhood where the medieval Hebrew community was concentrated.
