The Festa Major of Sant Genís, patron of Torroella de Montgrí (Baix Empordà), is held every year on 25 August, within the cycle of popular events that fill much of the month. The village also has a smaller festa major dedicated to Santa Llúcia, of lesser importance than the August patronal festival.
