Aigua Dolça Cove Nature · Palafrugell, Baix Empordà, Girona Image of Palafrugell, not of the place itself. Cala Aiguadolça, or cala d'Aigua Dolça, is a small natural cove located in the bay of Tamariu, in the municipality of Palafrugell (Baix Empordà), very close to the village of Tamariu, reached by the coastal path. It is barely 22 metres long with an average width of 8 metres, with golden-coloured shingle, a south-west orientation and surroundings ringed by pine trees. Its name comes from a freshwater spring, now gone, that once existed on the beach itself. Photo: Jordiipa (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Palafrugell
