Sant Martí de Cassà de Pelràs Monument · Corçà, Baix Empordà, Girona A church in the hamlet of Cassà de Pelràs, in the municipality of Corçà (Baix Empordà), documented in 1209 as Sancti Martini de Caciano de Piloraso, when Arnau de Llers restored to the bishop of Girona nine churches of his domains that he had usurped, among them this one; from the 13th century it is also recorded as a parish church. It is a 12th-century Romanesque church, with a single nave with a semicircular apse, pointed vault and a pointed triumphal arch as well; the head preserves a splayed window, and the original portal, a round arch on the south wall, was walled up. Reforms after the Middle Ages added the Baroque façade with portal and rose window, the bell tower, the side chapels, the sacristy and the loft above the perimeter walls of the medieval building.
