Castellbarri Monument · Calonge i Sant Antoni, Baix Empordà, Girona Archaeological site located on the summit of the mountain of the same name, on the Muntanya de Mas Mont, in the municipality of Calonge i Sant Antoni (Baix Empordà), protected as an asset of national cultural interest since 1949. It brings together two distinct complexes: the remains of an Iberian settlement inhabited from the 7th century BC to 218 BC, discovered by Lluís Barceló i Bou in 1930, and the ruins of a medieval watchtower, first mentioned in 1058 as property of the monastery of Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The tower, at 273.48 metres altitude, is a rectangular building 10 by 7.15 metres with walls up to 1.90 metres thick, made of ashlar and lime mortar, which communicated with the neighbouring tower of la Creu del Castellar to watch over the Ruàs and Molins valleys.
