Diving at Cala Culip Activity · Cadaqués, Alt Empordà, Girona Cala Culip is a small bay in the municipality of Cadaqués, within the Cap de Creus nature park, the first cove found heading north of the cape. Its seabed, full of rocky reefs and rich marine biodiversity, holds a veritable graveyard of Phoenician, Greek and Roman shipwreck remains, since the cove acted as a trap during storms; on land lie the beaches of Pescadors and es Gentils, buffeted hard by the tramontana. This landscape inspired Salvador Dalí to paint works such as The Great Masturbator. It is today one of the most sought-after diving spots in the area, accessible from Cadaqués.
