Castle of Montorro Monument · Sant Boi de Lluçanès, Osona, Barcelona Image of Sant Boi de Lluçanès, not of the place itself. The castle of Montorro is the remains of a fortification situated near the Montorro farmhouse, on the slope of the muntanya dels Munts, in the municipality of Sant Boi de Lluçanès. Of the building, today largely covered by sediment and vegetation, fragments of wall up to 2 m high remain, made of small, irregular ashlar, and rooms and interior walls can still be made out. First documented in 1295 under the name Montorroell, it had beside it the chapel of Sant Amanç de Montorroell, mentioned in the mid-fourteenth century. It belonged successively to Beatriu de Conanglell, to her son Pere de Conanglell and, from 1332, to Galceran de Besora, all of them vassals of the lord of the castle of Lluçà; in 1549 it was the property of Pere Onofre Sala, of Vic.
