Rafael Casanova, son of Moià

Born in Moià in 1660 into a family of well-off peasants, he became a lawyer in Barcelona and was conseller en cap during the siege of 1714. Wounded on 11 September, he survived until 1743 in retirement in the Baix Llobregat.
