Toixoneres Caves

The Cova de les Teixoneres (or Toixoneres) is part, together with the Cova del Toll, of the Coves del Toll complex in Moià (Moianès, Barcelona), reached on foot by a signposted path about a hundred metres from the reception centre. The complex has yielded remains of Quaternary fauna, Mousterian tools and Neanderthal evidence, as well as later material from the Epipalaeolithic and the Bronze Age, and it has been declared bien cultural de interés local (a local-level heritage protection listing) since 1988.
