Peas of Llavaneres Curiosity · Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, Maresme, Barcelona Image of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, not of the place itself. The Llavaneres pea, also called pèsol garrofal, is a traditional product of the market gardens of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, grown today on small family holdings alongside flowers and other vegetables. Every April the town holds the Festa del Pèsol, with a food fair dedicated to this pea, which is traditionally cooked stewed with black botifarra.
