Main festival of Mataró (Maresme, Barcelona) in honour of the Christian martyrs Juliana and Semproniana, born in ancient Iluro at the end of the 2nd century. It is held from 25 to 29 July, with the 27th as the central day, and in its current form it began in 1979. It includes the opening Nit Boja, correfocs (fire-runs) with the Drac de Mataró and the Diablesses, gralla matinades, and performances by the Robafaves family of giants. It was declared fiesta patrimonial de interés nacional (the distinction recognising Catalonia's most important festive heritage events) in 2010.
