In 1611 the baron of Lluçà sold his jurisdiction to the Crown and to the local universitats, which made it possible to constitute the sotsvegueria of the Lluçanès. It functioned as a demarcation of its own until 1716, when the Nueva Planta Decree divided it between Vic and Manresa.
