Castle of Fraumir Monument · Gósol, Berguedà, Barcelona A 13th-century castle in the municipality of Gósol (Berguedà), declared a Bien Cultural de Interés Nacional (Catalonia's highest level of heritage protection). The Fraumir lineage is documented since 1196; in 1309 it passed from the Berga family and Sibil·la, countess of Pallars, to King James II, who later granted it to the Tous i Carbesí family. Today only a stretch of the fortification wall survives, built of small undressed stones laid in courses and bound with mortar, on a rock covered with vegetation.
