Remains of the Wall and Gates of la Llacuna Monument · la Llacuna, Anoia, Barcelona Of the medieval wall that surrounded the village of la Llacuna (Anoia, Barcelona) barely anything survives: the enclosure, which formed a vila closa (walled town), had five access gates: d'en Bens, de la Font, d'en Badorc or de la Banya, del Vall and del Fort Micó. Only the Banya gate survives, in a deteriorated state, on Carrer de la Muralla. From the 15th century onwards residents gradually moved down to the valley as the enclosure's defensive function lost its meaning, giving rise to the village's present main square.
