Castellot of Mas Martí Monument · la Llacuna, Anoia, Barcelona The Castellot del Mas Martí, in the municipality of la Llacuna (Anoia), is a fortress of which medieval ruins survive, declared Bien Cultural de Interés Nacional (Catalonia's highest level of heritage protection). It is a not very large construction, more like a fortified house than a great castle — local tradition even recalls it as an old medieval hospital, and coins of the Catholic Monarchs have been found in it —. Its walls, of local stone and not very thick, preserve a round tower and a moat along the south side to make up for the terrain's lack of natural defence. Its history is uncertain, although in 1154 there is documentation of Bernat de Vilademàger, castellan of the castle of Mager, who owned among other properties the quadra of Vilademàger, probably linked to the castle of Bosc.
