The Gothic cathedral of la Asunción Monument · El Burgo de Osma, Tierras del Burgo, Soria It was begun in 1232 on an earlier Romanesque cathedral and is the largest monument in the province. Gothic in style, it incorporated other stylistic contributions over time until it was completed in Neoclassical style in 1784; it was the seat of the diocese of Osma from the 6th century, one of the oldest in Spain, and today shares that seat with the Co-cathedral of San Pedro de Soria. Inside, the main altarpiece stands out, a Renaissance work by Juan de Juni and Juan Picardo, along with the cathedral museum, which brings together numerous works of art linked to the diocese of Osma-Soria.
