The Way of San Frutos through Puebla Activity · Puebla de Pedraza, Comunidad de Villa y Tierra de Pedraza, Segovia Image of Puebla de Pedraza, not of the place itself. The Camino de San Frutos is a pilgrimage and hiking route linking Segovia with the hermitage of San Frutos, in the Hoces del Río Duratón natural park, where, according to tradition, the saint and his brother and sister, Saint Valentine and Saint Engracia, lived an ascetic life in the 7th century after building a small monastic complex, of which the Romanesque building crowning the site is still preserved. San Frutos is the patron saint of Segovia, its province and its diocese, and the villages of the area, including Puebla de Pedraza, hold him in devotion as an intercessor in times of drought, in the rite of the Mojadas. The fourth stage of the route, which links Segovia cathedral with the priory of the Duratón gorges via Caballar, crosses this municipality of 56 inhabitants, situated at 954 metres above sea level.
