The foundation of Malpartida goes back to the fifteenth century, when it was incorporated into the quarter of Rialmar of the jurisdiction of Alba de Tormes, within the Kingdom of León. With 74 inhabitants and 10.30 square kilometres, it is the smallest municipality in the comarca.
