The bullring of El Castañar

Monument · Béjar, Sierra de Béjar, Salamanca

Built in 1711 to pay for the renovation of the sanctuary of the Virgen del Castañar, it is the oldest bullring in Spain among those preserved. It was thoroughly renovated in 1962 and declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC) on 7 May 1998.
