Church of San Martín de Mudá Monument · Mudá, Montaña Palentina, Palencia The parish church of Mudá, declared a historic-artistic monument (a former national heritage designation, later folded into the Bien de Interés Cultural) in the 1990s, presides over this small village in the mining basin, situated about 120 kilometres from the provincial capital. The church was completely remodelled in the 16th century, although it retains remains of its original Romanesque fabric, which is why it is included in the Románico Norte group; it underwent a full restoration in 2007 as part of the Románico Norte Intervention Plan of the Junta de Castilla y León.
