Honey of Tabuyo del Monte Food and drink · Luyego, La Cabrera, León Image of Luyego, not of the place itself. Tabuyo del Monte, a village in the municipality of Luyego in the León region of La Cabrera, sits beside an extensive pine forest and a low scrubland of heather that its hives make use of to produce the honey which, together with mushrooms, identifies the village today. The beekeeping tradition coexists with a cured-meat gastronomy that includes morcilla de miel (honey blood sausage), and the village promotes both products in tastings that add to its mycological heritage.
