Rielves on the Camino de Santiago de Levante

Rielves, in the province of Toledo, lies along the Caminos de Santiago de Levante (the eastern route of the Way of St James), on the stretch between Toledo and Ávila, where the route is fully waymarked. Although it has no pilgrims' hostel, those walking the route usually lodge at the parish house, next to the church of Santiago Apóstol. The municipality, with fewer than a thousand inhabitants, retains remains of 3rd-century Roman baths and was, between the 12th and 13th centuries, a possession of the Bernardine monastery of San Clemente of Toledo.
