Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de la Natividad de Méntrida Monument · Méntrida, Torrijos, Toledo The hermitage of Nuestra Señora de la Natividad, in Méntrida (Toledo), is a 17th-century Catholic church, built around 1645 and consecrated that same year, standing a short distance from the village, next to the Prado path, on the site where the original parish church of Santa María once stood. In Renaissance-Gothic style, it has a single nave formed by the presbytery, a small transept and three bays toward the foot of the church, where the choir is located; on the south façade, the lintel of the door bears the inscription “AÑO 1645 IHS MARIA JOSEPH”. Inside is venerated the image of Nuestra Señora de la Natividad, patron saint of the town of Méntrida, canonically crowned in 2014. Photo: Rodelar (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Méntrida
