18th-century hermitage dedicated to the Virgin of the Encina, patron saint of the locality, in whose honour a feast is held every 8 September. It stands on the outskirts of Carriches, next to the village cemetery; already Pascual Madoz's Diccionario geográfico, in the mid-19th century, described it as a hermitage located outside the walls, with the cemetery attached to it.
