The ancestral home of don Gómez Dávila, marquess of Velada, a title founded by Philip II in 1557, whose construction dates back to the 16th century. During the second half of the 18th century it housed the infante Luis de Borbón y Farnesio and his wife María Teresa de Vallabriga. Although it is now in ruins, its silhouette still marks the town's urban layout; in the 21st century the possibility of restoring it for use as a hotel and museum has been considered.
