Museum of Cerámica Ruiz de Luna Monument · Talavera de la Reina, Talavera, Toledo The Ruiz de Luna Ceramics Museum, in Talavera de la Reina, was created by the ceramicist Juan Ruiz de Luna as a repository for his private collection, and handed over to the town council after his death. Housed in his former workshops on the Plaza del Pan, it moved in 1996 to the 16th-century convent of San Agustín, in the old town, a complex made up of the former church, with a Baroque Talavera façade by friar Lorenzo de San Nicolás, and the conventual building, used after disentailment as a warehouse and school. It brings together pieces from the 16th to the 20th century, with butterfly, fern and swallow-and-palm series, examples of oriental and Mexican influence, and archaeological objects found during work on the building.
