Roman Bridges over the Tiétar Monument · La Iglesuela del Tiétar, Sierra de San Vicente, Toledo Image of La Iglesuela del Tiétar, not of the place itself. Remains of bridges and wells from Roman times in the municipal area, testimony to the ancient settlement of the Tiétar valley. Two Roman bridges survive: one on the road to Sartajada, over the Garganta de Torinas, and another on the road to Casavieja, over the Tiétar river itself. In addition there are four well-preserved Roman wells in the town centre and five more in the municipal area, along with several dolmens that confirm human presence in the area since Roman times.
