Church of San Juan Bautista de Gálvez

The church of St John the Baptist is the parish church of Gálvez, in the Montes de Toledo. Its main nave, as well as its tower, dates from the 16th century; the latter, in a late Neo-Mudéjar style, houses a clock installed in 1902. The church has three naves separated by semicircular arches and is covered by a flattened octagonal vault on pendentives, decorated with plasterwork motifs. The altar takes the form of a large niche covered by a barrel vault, and inside, the baptismal font stands out, carved from granite in Gothic style.
