Hermitage of San Blas de Burguillos Monument · Burguillos de Toledo, Montes de Toledo, Toledo A 17th-century hermitage set in open countryside, next to the municipal cemetery, and the destination of the San Blas pilgrimage; it is the most representative historic building of Burguillos de Toledo. Although popularly known as the ermita de San Blas, it is in fact a church dedicated to Nuestra Señora de Burguillos, rebuilt between the 16th and 17th centuries on a dedication already documented in 1209. It has a Latin-cross plan, a single nave divided into four bays separated by pilasters, covered with a barrel vault with lunettes and a hemispherical dome over the crossing. On the outside, of Toledan brick-and-masonry construction, the simple façade stands out, with a central doorway and a two-arched bell-gable topped by a smaller third arch.
