Convent of San Pedro Bautista Monument · Lillo, Mesa de Ocaña, Toledo The convent of San Pedro Bautista in Lillo, in the Mesa de Ocaña district, was founded following the arrival of the first Franciscan friars in 1611 and was officially inaugurated on 26 July 1644. Over time it changed function: it came to house the seat of the judicial district, the Court of First Instance, the Assize Hall, municipal offices and a prison, until 1966. After a renovation it became a Casa de Cultura (cultural center) and today it operates as an inn, known as Hospedería El Convento, one of the most notable historic buildings in the town center of Lillo.
