House of Ciriaco Monument · Yuncos, La Sagra, Toledo Image of Yuncos, not of the place itself. The Casa de Ciriaco, so named after its former owner, is a neo-Mudejar palace house located on Calle Real in Yuncos (Toledo), which today houses the town hall. The architect Narciso Clavería, who also designed the Toledo railway station, was hired in 1929, and its floors and Talavera tiles, by Ruiz de Luna, date from 1926. During the Civil War it served as a barracks for General José Enrique Varela, and a bunker built in 1936 is preserved in its front courtyard. After functioning as a discotheque in the 1990s, it stood abandoned until the town council bought it in 2003 and renovated it, with an investment of 2.5 million euros, to serve as the seat of its administrative offices, inaugurated in 2009.
