Windmills of El Romeral

The group of windmills of El Romeral, located on the hilltop overlooking the town, in the comarca of La Mancha de Toledo, consists of four windmills with their own names: Pechuga, Crítica, Los Gorrinos and Muela. The Pechuga windmill underwent a severe reconstruction but retains its interior machinery intact; Crítica and Los Gorrinos have been adapted as exhibition space, open to the public on certain occasions during the year; and the Muela windmill, privately owned, is still awaiting restoration. Together they form one of the most recognisable images of the Cervantine landscape of La Mancha.
