Church of San Sebastián de Los Navalucillos Monument · Los Navalucillos, La Jara, Toledo The parish church of San Sebastián, in a simple Mudéjar style, dates from the 15th century. It underwent a major renovation in 1692, paid for by the archbishopric and the town council, and in 1755 the Lisbon earthquake seriously damaged its Mudéjar tower, which ended up being demolished in 1785. During the civil war it served as a camp for a group of militia, who damaged the interior of the temple, and it did not regain its original appearance until the restoration carried out in 1968 by Juan Martín-Maestro. With a Latin-cross floor plan and 422 square metres, it preserves a high altarpiece carved in wood in 1702 and gilded in 1718, the work of the school of José de Churriguera, with six Solomonic columns decorated with Baroque plant motifs.
