Execution pillar of Parrillas

Monument · Parrillas, La Campana de Oropesa, Toledo

Image of Parrillas, not of the place itself.

The execution pillory of Parrillas, in the Campana de Oropesa district (Toledo), is a jurisdictional column recalling the town charter obtained by the town in 1642. Parrillas belonged to the lordship of Oropesa until that year, when the growth of its population earned it the town charter, although it remained under manorial jurisdiction.
