The 1642 town charter of Parrillas

The growth in households allowed Parrillas to obtain the title of villa in 1642, although it remained subject to the jurisdiction of the seigneury of Oropesa. Its coat of arms recalls that past with a dehesa holm oak and a vine leaf.
