Rillo de Gallo Village · Rillo de Gallo, Señorío de Molina, Guadalajara Rillo de Gallo is a municipality of the Señorío de Molina (Guadalajara), in the valley of the Gallo river, at 1,054 metres of altitude and 133 km from the provincial capital, with 37 inhabitants (INE 2025). Its territory brings together important geological features: a Permian 'fossil forest' with specimens in life position, recognised as a Geosite of international interest, and one of the most complete magnetostratigraphic scales of the Permian and Triassic of the Iberian Peninsula. It preserves the manor house of the marquises of Embid, with a Baroque coat of arms, the hermitage of the Virgen de la Carrasca and the modernist building known as El Capricho rillano, from the early 20th century; rock shelters with cave art are also preserved within its territory.
