Mohernando Village · Mohernando, La Campiña, Guadalajara Mohernando is a municipality of the La Campiña comarca, in the province of Guadalajara, Castilla-La Mancha, with 190 inhabitants, surrounded by the towns of Humanes, Heras de Ayuso, Yunquera de Henares and Malaguilla. In the mid-19th century its municipal area was described as covered with hills of holm oak, oak and kermes oak, and it then counted 186 inhabitants, a figure very similar to the current one. Its main historic civil building is the palace-house linked to the counts of Humanes, and its parish church is dedicated to Nuestra Señora de la Luz Bella, an uncommon dedication in the province; the patronal festivities are celebrated on 3 May.
