The heights of Málaga del Fresno

The municipal area of Málaga del Fresno, in La Campiña de Guadalajara, extends over 23.83 square kilometres at 780 metres of altitude. According to the description given in Madoz's dictionary in the mid-19th century, it is mostly flat land, with some gullies and ravines, watered by two springs of good water and several other springs, one of which irrigated various plots of vega (fertile lowland). The municipality then had two extensive avenues of elms.
